Rozalina Gutman was invited once again and this time as a veteran-lecturer to give presentation and to share her unique insights with several thousand of premier music educators, who travelled from all over the world to appear as the delegates at the very special assembly for the 30th JUBILEE WORLD CONFERENCE of INTERNATIONAL SOCIETY FOR MUSIC EDUCATION, in Greece, the country that carries the centuries old symbolic meaning for the Western cultural tradition.
Her presentation included introduction and sharing the stage with the Maria Kabalevskaya, the daughter of the grand figure in the history of music education of countries of the former Soviet Union - composer and advocate Dmitry Kabalevsky, creator and promoter of the unique method of teaching music.
This served as her homage to one of the world's most sophisticated systems of music education at the country of her origin (she was born in Crimea, Ukraine and studied there and later on in Moscow, at the Music Education Department, transformed by Kabalevsky System), that was inherited from the founders of Moscow and Saint Petersburg Conservstories, the Alma Mater of such world renown classics, as Tchaikovsky, Rimsky-Korsakov, Rachmaninov, Shostakovich, Prokofiev, and the scores of many more music geniuses, the list of whom is simply too long to state...
Dedicated pedagogue and innovator Kabalevsky had managed to convince the government officials to dedicate the funding for the creation of the unique system of training music education specialists of the higher level with the special emphasis on teaching music in schools. He had formed a lab and created one of the kind Kabalevsky System, the turnkey toolset approach that was taught as the exemplary curriculum at the university level programs (that Ms. Rozalina Gutman had attended). This type of innovative approach targeted broadening of the horizons of young music professionals from the conventional approaches to music education, focusing on the applied uses of music in various parts of our life.
The presentation celebrated the legacy of Kabalevsky, who had succeeded in expanding the outreach of music education to all children, thanks to creation of the nation-wide system of music education at the grammar schools, in addition to already existing and thriving nationwide network of specialized Children's Music and Arts Schools, generously funded by the government, while providing the well equipped and managed facilities and venues for millions of highly educated in music teaching methods, steadily employed and paid with regular salaries music and arts educators, offering comprehensive and diverse opportunities in music and arts education to ALL, without limitations by income, origins, gender, etc.
At the end of the presentation, the chorus of participants joined the solo performers in the musical embod of the message of advocacy for music education, making extra special and meaningful the Intl premier performance of Ms. Rozalina Gutman's original SONG-ANTHEM "RESONANCE" that had reflected IN THE CONCISE AND INSIGHTFUL MUSICAL FORM the importance and urgency of her earlier Int'l Symposium, dedicated to ADVOCACY FOR MUSIC EDUCATION THROUGH BRAIN/MUSIC RESEARCH.
This time this dedicated advocate for the access to music education for ALL and pioneer in the proactive creativity in music education had included her unique self-expression in THE MUSICAL FORM OF THE PARTICIPATORY EXPERIENCE OF HER ORIGINAL SING ALONG ANTHEM SONG o" RESONANCE" that was delivered in spirited collaboration with the local Green Soprano ATHENA, accompanied by the composer. The chorus of the attendants at the packed beyond capacity room and the line to receive the score and the lyrics of the song with compoer's autograph were the most inspiring rewards for the long journey to this important point in the career of Ms. Rozalina Gutman, whose prodigious method of using Expressive Arts and Music therapy approaches in Education had manifested not only into prodigious success in her students (featured at her earlier appearanc). This time her presentation embodied what every music educator should have the opportunity to afford to do - to explore their own creativity resources and serve as the example for the music students
She was also driven to share into her own exemplary authentic expression of the passionate call for society-wide change that music CAN promote through brain advancement, as a part of school curriculum, if the only our society's leadership would be able to arise to the higher ability of making resonant to our urgent needs priorities. Balanced cognition allows for clarity. And it can be achieved by reducing WIDESPREAD AND NOW DANGEROUSLY CONVENTIONAL SENSORY DEBILITATION, THAT CAUSES MANY BLIND SPOTS WITH DEVASTATING OUTCOMES, by harvesting music's transformative power to advance beyond the limited linear perception of the world to polyphonic grasp of the reality with symphonic mindset for prioritizing in leadership, in order to help shift towards the individual balanced perception of the reality, and towards balanced planetary mindset, from still dominated onesided primitive thinking patterns, driven by the tangible, yet less significant material values and priorities, reminding that the best things in life are not ...things.
Stay tuned! to find out about the upcoming publications to find out much more, including... why Ms. Rozalina Gutman had decided to lead this and to embark on he other very challenging trips to give similar presentations, despite the increasing hardship and at the incredible personal sacrifice, while driven by her obligation to serve her underpublicized yet most significant good causes and to share her special and rare transformative music gift...
